Kuromatsu Lodge
Powder to the windowsill, and an onsen fed from the ground.
Tour coming soon
We film each house room by room. Kuromatsu Lodge is in the schedule — until then, the photographs are all honest.
Private onsen
Genuine geothermal, not a heated tub. Outdoors, screened, open all night.
Fifteen metres of powder
Niseko's annual average. The lodge is 400 m from the Hanazono lift.
Built for cold
Triple glazing, floor heating throughout, and a drying room that actually dries.
Niseko gets about fifteen metres of snow a year and Kuromatsu is built for that: a steep roof, triple glazing, heated floors everywhere, and a drying room by the door that gets your gear genuinely dry overnight rather than merely less wet.
The onsen at the back is geothermal — the water comes out of the ground at 43°C forty metres away and runs straight into a screened outdoor bath. Sitting in it while snow falls on your head is the reason people come back.
Mount Yōtei fills the window of the main bedroom. Hanazono's lift is a 400-metre walk, and Haruki runs a shuttle when the snow is deep, which it usually is.

“The onsen is real — the water comes out of the ground at 43°C about forty metres from where you'll be sitting in it.”
