Camps Bay House
Twelve Apostles behind, Atlantic in front, glass in between.
Tour coming soon
We film each house room by room. Camps Bay House is in the schedule — until then, the photographs are all honest.
Between mountain and ocean
The Twelve Apostles rise directly behind the house and the Atlantic is 200 m in front.
Heated infinity pool
28°C year round, cantilevered over the slope, west-facing.
Sundowner deck
Built at exactly the height where the sun drops into the sea. Every evening, dependable.
Camps Bay is a narrow strip of houses between a mountain range and a cold ocean, and this one takes maximum advantage of both. The Twelve Apostles are behind you, close enough to fill the rear windows; the Atlantic is in front, 200 metres downhill.
The house is three stepped levels of glass and white concrete, with a heated infinity pool cantilevered off the western side and a deck built at the precise height to watch the sun go into the sea. It is a very social house — the kitchen, braai and pool are all one space.
Thandiwe has an inverter and a generator, so load-shedding is a rumour here rather than an event.

“Swim in the pool, not the sea. The Atlantic here is 12°C in summer and it will surprise you exactly once.”
